One of the things I lurve more than anything is a good happy hour. Another luv? Candy. Seriously, I'm kinda a candy freak (skittles, starbursts, blow pops, etc.). In my mind, it's the best of both worlds (groan, Hannah Montana reference) when booze and candy combo up to form the perfect portable libation - the jello shot. Now, I love me some plain ol' standard issue jello shots (who doesn't? wait . . . don't answer that!), but I have recently fallen in love with what I believe to be the mecca of mini gelatin cocktails:

And unlike standard jello shots, these are shots you could serve after a fine china dinner. Anyway, I'm gonna take a stab at making some for my next shindig. I'm thinking the
Root Beer Barrel Jelly Shots (yum, right?). Now, I don't think mine will be nearly as pretty (or pretty at all), but I have no doubt that they'll be delicious. If I'm not too embarrassed by my creations, I'll post some pics. No promises, though.
