Pet Peeve: Pets DO NOT belong outside.

I was over at a friend’s home this afternoon and out of the corner of my eye I happened to notice a cat wandering through the backyard.   I don’t believe in the concept of outdoor pets especially cats. These are domestic animals and they belong inside in your domestic environment.   If they are allowed to roam free there are too many bad things that can happen to them—death, disease, dismemberment being my main concerns.

Let’s say I’m willing to suspend my opinions(which I’m not)and give an allowance for people with wandering pets that live in warm climates and warm times of year.  This is Minnesota and we just experience a blizzard that produced almost two feet of snow followed by subzero temperatures oh and this just in more snow on the way.  Can’t you take in your outdoor animals into a garage or some kind of shelter?!  If you really can’t handle being a pet owner there are animal shelters.   Would you want to be stuck outside right now?
