Hello world! I may be blonde and have lots of fun, but I’m a smarty pants who is actually very laid back and approachable. You may not think so when you first meet me, but believe me, I’m awesome. Here are 25 things you definitely want to know about Karmijn (pronounced Car-men).
2. I hate bugs when they bother me indoors; but I am fine with bugs as long as they are in their natural habitat and not in my house.
3. I keep a running “worst-case scenario log ” for every situation in my head in case I need to go all MacGyver-like and create a bomb out of bobby-pins and baking soda.
4.My friends call me Lady MacGyver (see above).
5. Spaghetti with red sauce and meatballs is the perfect dish…EVER.
6. If you are wearing something that I think is awesome, I will compliment you on it. I believe everyone deserves a compliment when they look good.
7. I hate food that is white and creamy. Mayo, sour cream, you name it, I hate it.
8. Electronics hate me. The universe literally tries to communicate through devices and when it doesn’t work, my devices are the ones that fail.
9. Due to the aforementioned point, I don’t use my phone or my computer very often. If you need to reach me, let me know a day before you try and reach me.
10. Data, facts, logic problems, and math problems are my friends. Discuss the fall of ancient Greece with me or Pythagorean’s theorem and we will be best friends.
11. I can read a book a day (250-500 pages) when I have the time.
12. Joss Whedon is my hero.
13. I’m addicted to exercise.
14. I can beat many men (including my husband) in video games. I also have my own collection of great games – from the good ‘ole Super Nintendo and Xbox.
15. A glass of a good Pinot Noir and bumpin’ music is all I need to make me extremely happy.
16. I was born a red-head.
17. I am very good at deflection in a conversation – I rarely talk about myself.
18. I didn’t know that the word “cocktail” was another name for an adult beverage until I was in my late 20’s.
19. Adults only talk to me when I’m dressed up. If I wear jeans and a t-shirt, I get mistaken for a teenager.
20. I loathe “moist” and “panties”.
21. People like to tease me for the way I pronounce the word “popcorn”. They always laugh.
22. I hate camping, but once I am actually doing it, I love it.
23. I look out for my family and close friends and I have mafia members on speed-dial if anyone crosses them.
24. I clean the house when I am angry or frustrated.
25. I don’t think I’m a very creative person, but many people tell me otherwise due to my extracurricular activities.
