This Welsh dream boat first appeared in my life while I was in high school.  He played the charming boy next door Laurie, in Little Women. Jo (played by Winona Ryder) let Laurie slip through her fingers--FOOL--but I wasn't going to forget about Christian Bale. This guy was great  and I wanted to see more.  Fortunately, I haven't been disappointed.

I've loudly argued against the bad rep he has acquired in the past few years, particularly with the widely circulated "episode" from the set of his Terminator film.  You know what? We all have bad days and tempers...I certainly do.  The thing is, when I have a hissy fit no one cares enough to film it and then view said footage.

Congratulations on winning your much deserved award for Best Supporting Actor in The Fighter at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards. I look forward to seeing you in many more great roles and at award shows in the years to come.  Being snarky I have to look at this photo and say...what the hell is going on with all the hair?!  I'm going to hope and pray it's for some upcoming movie because this is NOT good look for Mr. Bale.
